We’ve been tracing the cellphone case manufacturers and distributors who illegally used famous brands’ trademark for three months and in collaboration with Seoul SJP, we arrested them and seized about 10,000 items.

We are also planning to trace the retailers throughout all regions who sold the counterfeits to customers.

In relation to this, 10 broadcasters and 20 media release the news as below.

2015, August 19, Seoul SJP arrested 4 cellphone case manufacturers and distributors for violating trademark laws who pirated Adidas and Disney etc.

They pirated Adidas, Comme Des Garcons, Disney, Cathkidston, Kenzo, Marcjacobs etc. They manufactured a cellphone case at 3~4,000 won each and supplied to the retailer at 7~8,000 won which was then sold to the customer at 12~15,000 won.

From 2014 April, they manufactured about 76,000 cellphone cases and distributed to the retailers around colleges and they are worth 3.3 billion won if converted to genuine products.

Seoul SJP seized 10,600 items during a recent raid which will all be discarded.
