  1. On 2016. 01. 24. Seoul Jung-gu office announced that they seized 33,957 counterfeits in 2015 in Myeong-dong,

      Namdaemun market and Dongdaemun.
     They are equivalent to 20.6 billion Won in real products.

  2. Raid cases increased compared to 2014 but seized qty and value decreased and this explains that the counterfeit

      sales have decreased in half which is attributed to intensive raids started from 2013.

  3. In terms of category, street vendors were 241 which account for more than half followed by shops, vehicles and

      newsstands.

  4. In terms of brands, Chanel accounts for 32% with most seized followed by Louis Vuitton, Adidas, Gucci and

      Burberry.

  5. Mr. Choi, “People should know that counterfeit sales is a serious crime that hurts Intellectual Property”,

      “Due to our hard efforts, the sales went down apparently but we will continue to do so until tourists can go

      shopping freely", said Chang-sik, the head of Jung-gu office
